Well done – as yu say anything can happen and it did!! Without Dannys skill in keeping you in the prize would have never made it to you so well done for your sharing it. Very different sales people – some like you and some like Danny are needing in every sales force. Some of the other contenders (and you can guess) shouldnt be selling anything other than the Big Issue. I really enjoyed the show (was surprised it got moved from the 9.00 pm slot) well done to you all

Hi.I’m a normal everyday girl who just happened to watch this out of interest and couldnt tear myself away.I wanted to say BIG congratulations to Gavin.I was overjoyed at him winning.Say what you will,it was a game show with rules which were that the biggest sale that day would win.On that basis our Gavin won fair and square.What I liked about Gavin was his humility and the fact that he seemed to be a very genuine person.He came across extremely well on TV and no doubt he will do well out of this.I certainly hope so.

Firstly I would like to say well done to Gavin. He won fair and square and it’s nice to see that he split his winnings with Danny (Danny helped him a lot by keeping him in). Secondly Danny should go on and earn a lot more money as he showed the he was consistently the best sales man.

Hi Gavin

I’m so glad that you’ve learned from the process.

One of the important points I’m trying to get over with this is that you can’t rely on “one big deal” to see you through. Life as a salesman is far too stressful when this is the case and for a business owner it’s unsustainable.

Too many sales people hold out for that one big deal and most of the time it never comes.

You need consistency, day in and day out using the approach and work ethic that Danny has got.

Am I disappointed that you won? No, not at all. Am I disappointed that you won through a “one hit wonder” – maybe a little as I like to reward consistent results.

I appreciate it’s a game show and that must also be taken into account. You have to question everyones motives. Like would some of the orders last night be made if the cameras were not there? I doubt it very much as it’s good PR for them and would they want to be seen to turning down a charity on national TV?! Oh, I am cynical in my old age!

You’ve definately got the right attitude and effort it’s just the strategy that let you down.

Hello Sean,

Thank you so much for your comments over the last few weeks, if only I could have spoken to you last year during filming!

From your above post I can see that you are disapointed in the result, how ever it was a Gameshow and I honetly did not think that £20K deal would be enough to win, in fact I Thought it was my last shot at Impressing John Cauldwell while doing something beneficial for charity and maybe just maybe proving I could sell. Winning was unachievable at that stage. As for the appalling sob story, well you need to see the full sale to understand what was said to be honest. A fluke? I talked the customer up £5k, give some credit where credit is due Sean.

I am surprised that you didnt have a moral on your comments last night. The moral being that anything can happen in sales, targets can be hit moments before deadline, one last minute sale can change everything and for all the struggling salespeople out there..THERE IS HOPE! anyone can suceed in sales even the most inept salespeople.

As for Danny walking away with nothing I am delighted to infrom you that I split the winnings with him and his family. The prize money will make both our lives easier and there was no greater honour or tribute I can bestow on Danny as he is the best seller of all the contestants and a great friend.

As for Anna Marie I’m afraid she made some questionable judgements and practiced some unsavory tactics during the shoot. Did you know she was Top dog in episode 4 but had sales disqualified for questionalable practices? That said my best to her and her future endevours.

Well Sean, Maybe I didnt deserve to win but the expereience helped me achieve so much in my career in terms of approach, confidience and selling style. I had a great year and managed my team to excellent target busting performances and winning all inscentives thrown at us. So maybe the show did do me the world of good in so many ways.

I have genuinely appreciated your comments and would be delighted if you ever like to email me with some advice and tips on how to be a better salesman

P.S Should there be another series of Natural born sellers then I hope you apply as I think it would be a great sales masterclass to teach aspiring salespeople how Sales are made under pressure with a camera stuck in your face 18 hours a day, producers playing god and with only 3 hours of training on each product. I think you would definatley win!
