Firstly, what went right this year for you?
Look back and write down your successes this year. Sometimes, we forget exactly how much we have actually accomplished in twelve months. Did you reach your goals and objectives that you set at the end of last year? If so, what made you successful? What skills did you develop?
Now, look back and determine what you learned when things didn’t go exactly to plan. If the outcome in some areas wasn’t what you wanted or expected, how did you deal with it? Where could you see improvements? What areas in your sales portfolio could still do with some work?
Planning and preparation are vital areas to consider when you are looking ahead. If you don’t learn from the things that went wrong this year, what will stop you from repeating them next year?
Think of the type of character you need to be to achieve your goals next year. What changes do you have to make to be even more successful? What skills do you need to develop?
Give yourself the best possible opportunity to succeed by committing to excellence. You will become the kind of person you need to be to achieve your objectives and attract more customers to you.
All at MTD wish you every success in the new year.
